Ali Mallakin, PhD
Mallakin (MSc, PhD) brings his experience and knowledge in biomedical and life sciences to institutions abroad. He holds his MSc degree with a focus in Microbiology and Microbial remediation as well as his PhD in Molecular Biology/Toxicology and PDF training in the Cancer area. Dr. Mallakin experience in science and the biomedical field spans throughout teaching, research and development, program developments within the academic sectors.
Beginning his career in Canada and the US at Biorem, Children Hospital Medical Center (CHMC), LSU Health Science Center (LSUHSC) and Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He has participated in Viral and Non-viral Vectors projects, Bioinformatics, Cancer research and CTR studies. He has held positions in academic entities as well as entrepreneurial start-up companies. He has experience in research and development, technical feasibility, grant and funding opportunities and emotional intelligence.

Melissa has over 8 years experience teaching in Japan and helping Japanese students reach their potential. Her specialties include teaching IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL, TESL, TEFL as well as Business and Medical English. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a split major of English and Anthropology from the University of Southern Queensland in Australia as well as a TEFL Certificate. After returning to Abbotsford from Japan, Melissa joined the Gateways team and has been really enjoying the opportunity to help students in Abbotsford achieve their educational goals.
Toby W, B.Sc in Health Science
Toby has been doing various forms of teaching, tutoring, and coaching for over 20 years. His specialized areas include teaching and tutoring math, science, computers, and English; additionally, he enjoys coaching tennis. He has holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Health Information Science from the University of Victoria, and a TESL Certificate from Trinity Western University. In 2009 he taught English in Japan. Upon returning to Abbotsford, he joined the Gateways team and has been exceptionally impressed by the many intelligent and well-mannered students. He is enjoying the opportunity to work together with students in a great learning environment, and helping them achieve their educational goals.

The examination measures the competencies required of entry-level nurses for safe and effective practice. Payment for the CRNE must be provided at the time the application is submitted. CRNBC does not accept post-dated cheques.
